Work has started on a brand new home for Crownbridge school in the grounds of Croesyceiliog secondary school as pupils from both the schools took part in the turf cutting ceremony.
The school will be purpose built for children aged between 3 and 19 and include specialist facilities including a hydrotherapy pool and a clinical area for professional support and a dedicated parents’ room.
The access will be from a new entrance at the county Hall roundabout.
Councillor Veronica German commented:
“This is great news for the pupils from both schools. I know the staff from both schools are really looking forward to working together. Officers are hoping that the new school will be completed by September 2011 and we are all looking forward to that.”
