The Llanyrafon Manor Community Group are have been working hard to restore the Manor and its grounds to its former glory.
Veronica German went to visit them on an action day recently to see the work they are doing.
The Manor is a Grade II* Listed building complex with another 2.8 acres of land surrounding it.
The Manor is currently derelict and the grounds are overgrown.
This is where the group come in.
“It really is amazing to see the work the group has done so far,” said Veronica. “I would encourage anyone to get involved with this important project right on our doorstep.“I know the primary school have been working to design a logo and I’m hoping we can get the comprehensive school on board as well.” Building work on the manor is due to start during the winter and the project involves holding farmer’s markets as well as looking at biodiversity and developing the gardens and vegetable plots.
